Acne is common problem that affects almost every individual of all ages. It is more commonly seen in adolescents and young age people. Almost 85 percent of people between the ages of 12 to 25 face the disorder. For some people acne tends to reduce as the age increases. Almost 18 million people in United State face acne problem, making it one of the most common skin disorders.

Acne is a common problem resulting from the hormonal action on the skin's oil gland that is commonly called sebaceous glands, that leads to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions that is commonly called as pimples. Acne usually occurs on the face, back, neck, chest and shoulder. It is characterized by red pimples on the skin.

Excess intake of chocolate and oily food items are often blamed to cause acne.

Other than medications, you also need to take care of your skin properly like cleaning your skin with mild cleanser at least 2 to 3 times a day, Avoid frequent handling of skin, avoid sunburn or suntan, reduce the use of oily cosmetic etc to get beautiful skin.
